besonders in zeitgenössischen japanischen produktillustrationen sieht man manchmal einen zeitlosen überregionalen ansatz: die kunst in höchster effizienz die spezifische dinglichkeit eines gegenstandes zu erfassen. also die uhr-heit einer uhr, die regal-heit eines regals oder die textil-heit einer decke. in diesen illustrationen machen wir uns auf die visuelle spur dieser kunst, um mit digitalen zeichnungswerkzeugen und der verpflichtung für absolute beschränkung in mittel und ausdruck neuen ausdruck zu üben und ggf. vergleichbares zu erreichen.

Especially in contemporary Japanese product illustration, one sometimes encounters a timeless, transregional approach: the art of capturing the specific objecthood of a thing with maximum efficiency. In other words: the clockness of a clock, the shelness of a shelf, or the textileness of a blanket. In these illustrations, we follow this visual trail of the craft, using digital drawing tools and a commitment to absolute restraint in means and expression to practice a new mode of expression and, if possible, achieve something comparable.
